The CBE Dates of Significance Events Calendar
Dear Families,
A few short items this week. Please sign up for a learning conference as this is part of CBE’s formal reporting process. It is very important for parents to attend each learning conference in order to be fully informed of your child’s progress at school. We ask all parents to bring their child(ren) to these conferences so they can be part of the discussion, celebrate their progress to date and help set future goals. See this link from the CBE called “How is My Child Doing in School?”
An email to sign up for learning conferences went out to families on Friday, November 15 at 4pm. If you would like an interpreter for your child’s conference, please contact your child’s teacher to request one.
Fee Collections
Please access your MyCBE accounts to see if you have outstanding fees for field trips taken last year. Our school budget needs to recover more than $1300 in outstanding fees as some parents may not be aware that they are still due. Please note that if your child is going on a field trip, or in the case of Kindergarten, a guest speaker, charges are made to your accounts within a 4 week window of the event. Unpaid fees stay on your account year to year and require payment.
Dr. Freda Miller School Council and School Enrichment Society Updates

- School Council and School Enrichment Society (SES) meeting – Thursday, November 21 at 6:00 pm – 7:30pm in the School staffroom. There is no meeting in December.
- The Clothing Sale has been extended one week
- Fun Lunch items for January to June for Grades 1-5 students have been posted on the Healthy Hunger Site. You can preorder now for the rest of the year if you wish.
- Your School Council is bringing in Guests from Parks Canada from Invermere on the evening of Conferences from 5:00 pm - 7:30pm. Come learn about some fantastic animals we get to share the planet with!
