Dear Dr. Freda Miller Families, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thank you to the parents who attended our School Council and Enrichment Society meeting this past week. Always nice to get to connect with parents and plan for our school community. Please see meeting minutes: Council Minutes Enrichment Society minutes The next meetings are: May 7 June 4 Student Teachers Please join me in congratulating the year four Mount Royal University student teachers. They have all worked incredibly hard to build their skill set and master the art of teaching through the mentorship of our teachers. Many will be returning to our school as new guest teachers starting in May. We will celebrate them on Friday as they wrap up their final practicum. Read-A-Thon Please ask your child to return your Read-A-Thon envelopes tomorrow. We look forward to sharing the grand total with you soon. Save the Date – Volunteer Tea We are very much looking forward to celebrating the amazing volunteers at Dr. Freda Miller School. Our grade 5 leadership crew is beginning to plan our first ever Volunteer Tea to honour and show thanks to everyone who steps up to help out at Dr. Freda Miller School. More information to come. Volunteer Opportunity – School Swag We are looking for a parent volunteer willing to organize school apparel for next year. We already have a school logo but will need someone to take on organizing and ordering. If you are interested, please let me know. Upcoming Dates
