Dear Dr. Freda Miller Families, Thank you to the grade 4 parents who were able to attend the grade 4 concert on Friday. It always makes students proud to have support in the audience. Deep gratitude to Ms. Fornwald for her incredible work with the students. She single-handedly put the concert together and works hard to ensure every student feels success in the process and the performance. Parent Teacher Student Conferences

Casino Thank you to all the families who have already signed-up for the Casino. We are so grateful. We have 8 spots left to fill. Anyone can volunteer; parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, and/or neighbours. It raises an incredible amount of money for our school, and all students benefit from the funds. This year funds from previous casinos have funded all the in-school residences, art supplies, resources (for example: fidgets, wiggle cushions, timers, noise cancelling headphones), buses for field trips, a C-can storage system for outdoor equipment, including the mud kitchen, new PE equipment and library books. Cookbook Fundraiser Hi DFMS families, We are trying something new and exciting this year. We know how much our kids love cookbooks so this fundraiser is for all of the food loving, recipe making kiddos at our school! These recipes are designed to be made by the kids with little support from an adult. It truly is a kids cookbook! We are so excited to share it! The Curious Kids Cookbook fundraiser is a fundraising project designed to help educate K-7 students around food literacy. Let’s inspire confidence in the kitchen, while helping to raise money for the school. What’s in the Cookbook? 35 healthy and engaging recipes for all skill levels across 6 different chapters Contributions from Canada’s Food Guide Kitchen, eggs.ca and halfyour plate.ca Creative prompts for students to create and illustrate their own recipes Tips on packing healthy lunches Colouring Pages And More!!! Fundraiser Starts March 15th and ends April 7th Link to site https://buy.stripe.com/6oU14o2E49m00IM1sfdAk05 Invite | Marshall Springs MSS School Council is also proud to present an engagement session called "Mirror Mirror" featuring Alison Springer on April 16, 2026 at 6:30pm @ MSS. Food trucks will be available outside MSS starting at 5:00pm. "Mirror Mirror is an entertaining presentation with a powerful message that inspires students to lead by embracing who they are and how they were made. Alison helps students expose the ‘lying mirrors’ in their lives and the three causes that distort how they view themselves (media, comparison and things that people say). Students will learn positive and helpful ways to protect their dignity and the dignity of others. Alison shares some of the struggles she faced being black, tall and loud, along with her academic struggles. Students will realize that their strengths and weaknesses serve a specific purpose." - https://youthspeakers.ca/speaker/alison-springer/ This is a free event for MSS community members, their families, and their children. Food trucks are an additional cost. If you plan on attending, please RSVP HERE.
